FAQ's: Frequently Asked Questions: SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION, april 6, 2009
What to wear? Casual is the word, and remember, it's Ithaca: it might be hot, chilly, or rainy. Any attire is acceptable, and a few classmates have been seen wearing a jacket and even a tie, to the Saturday dinner. If you feel unprepared for the weather, that could be a good excuse for purchases in the Cornell Book Store.Where do we stay? U Halls are gone! However, the Class of 1974 class headquarters and housing will be on West Campus in air-conditioned Becker House South: see the information in the Class of 1974 Reunion Brochure for room rates and what is included.
Do I have to stay at Becker House?
Of course not. Howver, hotel rooms are scarce in Ithaca during Renunion week
Can I bring any children?
Cornell's Reunions are family-friendly, with events and activities for all ages. Be sure to register in advance and see the information regarding kids in the dorms.
What is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee is scaled to accommodate the entire weekend or a single day: in general it accommodates all calss and most university events: receptions and meals, souvenirs, shutles, headquarters food an beverages, entertainment, and your class Runion 2009 button.

For detailed information regarding the registration fee and activities, see the Class of 1974 Reunion Brochure.
How do we get around and where do we park?
The campus is a pedestrian environment, and all events are within walkig distance of West Campus. Still, we all remember Libe Slope and the Saturday night dinner beyond Lynah Rink could be quite a hike. Cornell Reunion shuttle buses run 7a.m. to 1.a.m., and a wheelchair van is also available.
Parking and driving on campus is limited, but we will have free parking on Libe Slope.
Registration confirmation information will include details on how to drop off luggage at class HQ's. Unless you bring your own valet, there is no valet parking.
What about special needs?
Make advance arrangements through the office of Alumni Affairs, 607-255-7085. They will help in issues related to special housing needs (near an elevator, handicapped accessible bathroom, etc.) They will be as helpful as possible, and ask you to note your special needs on the Registration form, and/or contact them in advance of the weekend.
I live nearby, and just want to visit for a day: how would that work?
Registration is still required, but registration fees are scaled from a full 4 day family package to a minimal "hang-out package": see the information in the Class Brochure.
Can I "walk-in" to register?
Rooms at Becker Hall will most likely not be available if you walk-in.
How do I sign up for children's programs, or golf?
See the Cornell Registration web site.
I'm not sure how many people from the Class of 74 I will know when I get there: will I be able to visit my college too?
There are hundreds of events at Reunion beyond simply class events: every College hosts events such as receptions, tours, and even lectures.
Furthermore, not only is Reunion a way to reconnect with old friencs, its a great way to meet new friends.
